Forgiveness is at the heart of our faith. It is both a divine gift we receive and a command we are called to obey. Jesus Himself taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12).
As we walk the path of faith, it is easy to focus on the grand gestures—acts of charity, evangelism, or moments of spiritual awakening. Yet, nestled within the virtues is one that often goes unnoticed: temperance.
We are not governed by what we do or say. We are governed by what we believe to be so as Christians.
