Pastor Tionte L. Davis a Native of Winchester, Virginia. Elder Davis accepted Jesus as his personal savior and got baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost at the tender age of 8 at the Glorious Church of God in Christ Inc. Stephen City, Virginia under the leadership of the late Elder Roland G. Pollard and the late Elder Percy Pollard. Rearing from the faith founded from the men and women of God, his love for ministry expanded under the teachings of his family members, and his former Pastor’s.
Pastor Davis began his public ministry On May 31, 2008 by preaching his initial sermon entitled “The Unquenchable Fire” and was licensed under Guiding Light Pentecostal Church in that year he was appointed Youth pastor. In later years, he was ordained as an Elder and served in several other ministry’s at Guiding Light.
August of 2015, Pastor Tionte L. Davis, was installed as Lead Pastor of the Guiding Light Pentecostal Church in Winchester, Virginia. Elder Davis faithfully served as Lead Pastor until 2019. In May 2023 birthed Journey 2 Change Ministries and Currently he is an Associate Minister at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester, VA under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Gilbert M. Mack Jr.
Pastor Davis is engaged to Brittney R. Doby and has 4 children Noah T. L. Davis, Jaxson L. Davis, Nevaeh F. Doby and Christopher M. Doby. He is a passionate worshipper and firm believer in preaching the word of God. Elder Davis is a pusher and encourager and believes in helping others in their spiritual gifts. His favorite Scripture in the bible is 2 Timothy 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
